31 Things to Do in July: Sponsored by FVL Schools

July things to do

Summer took particularly long to arrive this year! We’re deep in it and looking for all of the things that you can do with your family virtually, in person, and outside. Here is a list of things to do this month that are FREE or inexpensive for your family.

  1. Celebrate America’s Birthday with fireworks. Communities around the Fox Valley are lighting up the sky this weekend from big to small!
  2. See a movie outside! Appleton’s Movie on the Hill is back with dates throughout the 2021 summer. Take advantage of open canoeing, held on the beautiful Appleton Memorial Park Pond immediately preceding Movie on the Hill nights, on a first come, first serve basis. Canoes, oars and personal floatation devices are provided. If Greenville is closer for you, their Community Movie Night is held on Wednesdays throughout the summer. Get more info here or on our calendar.
  3. Check out Einstein’s Sandbox, a free mobile creativity lab bringing projects to area parks and public schools. See our calendar for upcoming dates and information.
  4. Head to downtown De Pere for the Art Walk featuring 20+ venues hosting 40+ artists exhibiting and selling their work. The walk takes guests through various businesses and showcases professional and emerging artists. Participants can also view downtown’s public art collection featuring 3 permanent sculptures and 8 murals.
