Riverlife Park is a scenic and popular park located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including fishing, kayaking, hiking, and biking. Families can enjoy the Wisconsin River’s natural beauty and views of nearby Rib Mountain.
The park features a playground, picnic area, and riverfront boardwalk. Riverlife Park hosts several community events throughout the year, including concerts and outdoor movies.
The Playground
Giant playground with an ice cream store on site (seasonally)! Nothing like a beautiful day licking a giant ice cream cone from Briq’s Soft Serve and watching the kids enjoy themselves! This Wausau area park is a true kid paradise! The play structure includes lots of climbing and slides.
The Riverlife playground is along the Wisconsin River in Wausau under Bridge Street Bridge. This park offers beautiful riverside scenery to stop and enjoy along the water. Riverlife Park includes playground equipment like climbing boulders, a suspended skywalk, an obstacle course to burn calories, and so much more!
Make sure to check out the timed challenge course for both adults and kids! The outdoor fitness system is a heart-pounding, muscle-building workout spot. Kids 13 and older can work out and burn off some energy. A true, healthy asset to the community of Wausau. You can also enjoy the walking and biking trails alongside the park.

Briq’s soft serve is on-site, right next to the play area. The ice cream shop is generally open from 11 am to 10 pm each day on a seasonal basis (May 1 to Oct. 1).
