Tips for Visiting Farmers’ Markets
- Plan to use cash – not all vendors accept debit or credit.
- Many vendors allow shoppers to use EBT or WIC Farmers Market Vouchers. All vendors that do will be clearly labeled.
- Bring your own bag to carry vegetables, treats and trinkets.
- Encourage the kiddos to pick out a new fruit or vegetable to try!
- Find a booth you like? Find and follow the vendor’s page on social media and support their business all year round!
- Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat or shades to protect your skin from the sun.
- Wear comfortable shoes! Depending on the market, you may be doing plenty of walking!
- Know that as a general rule, unless posted or their city ordinance allows, most markets do not allow dogs.
