The Milwaukee Art Museum collects and preserves art with the mission to inspire and educate. The museum is the home of over 30,000 works of art. The 341,000-square-foot museum is 4 floors and has over 40 galleries.
Things to Know for your Visit
Admission
General admission tickets are required for visiting the museum and can be purchased online.
- Kids 12 and under are free!
- Adult admission is $22
- Students, Seniors, and Military are $17
- Wisconsin K-12 teachers are also free with a school ID or paystub!

Tips
- There is a cafe at the museum! Cafe Calatrava has a kids’ menu.
- No backpacks or large bags are permitted in galleries.
- No food, drinks, or gum in the museum.
- Sketching is allowed, but only in pencil.
- Silence cell phones.
- Address and directions to the museum.
- Parking is available in an underground garage, nearby lots and garages, and metered parking on the street. Currently, parking in the Calatrava garage or Museum Center Park is recommended

- The museum is not far from Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and Discovery World. Both have reciprocal admission discounts with a Family Membership from The Building for Kids.
