Big Event for Little Kids

The Big Event is a magical, fun-filled educational fundraiser geared to children age 10 and under and their families.
The Big Event is a community-wide event! At The Big Event, the professional staff from Encompass along with hundreds of caring community volunteers, interact with the children.
Donations received from the community assure that all children, regardless of family income, can attend.
The Big Event is a major fund-raiser for Encompass. More than $1,450,000 has been raised over the past 28 years. Encompass uses the proceeds to provide the finest quality early education and nurturing care to all children, regardless of their economic circumstances.

Maple Syrup Saturday
Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve
8:30am – 11:00am
Tour $15/family, FREE for members or included with the cost of breakfast
Join us for a Pancake and Porkie breakfast served in the Girl Scout service center at 8:30, 9:00, and 9:30am.
Price includes a tour of the sugarbush following breakfast.
Reservations required for breakfast as space is limited. Call the preserve to reserve your spot at (920)731-6041.
Tours of the Preserve’s syrup producing process begin with a hike in the woods for a look at the sugarbush. Learn about the methods of harvesting sap and see the final processing for bottling and eating.
After your tour, enjoy a taste of fresh maple syrup served over ice cream. Tours run from 9:00am – 11:30am.
