This year’s event includes a 6K (3.66 miles) run/walk along the riverfront trails in Appleton. New this year is a 11-mile bike ride that will start at Telulah Park and go along the Fox River in Appleton, Kimberly and Little Chute. Participants can choose to do the run/walk or bike ride, or both. The Fox Cities Greenways event, sponsored by Scheels along with other groups from the community, is a family-fun event for people of all ages and abilities.

The new bike route includes stops at Kimberly’s Sunset Park, the Little Chute Windmill and riverfront trail. Event organizer and avid runner Gordy McDaniel said, “We are so excited about expanding the bike ride to Heart of the Valley communities. It is a great opportunity to show people how trails connect our communities.”

  • Kids’ Bike Rodeo (Safety Clinic) for ages 5-12
  • Kids’ Bike Helmet Giveaway
