Fly Circus & Aerial Arts in Appleton is now enrolling for Fall youth programs! Intro to Circus is an 8 week program that teaches kids the basic grips, mounts onto the apparatuses and technique to help them explore the aerial arts safely. Your kids will learn the basics on Trapeze, Lyra and Silks! The cost for an 8 week session is $200. Classes are open to all genders.

Young Flyers Ages 5 – 9: Intro to Circus

  • When: September 3 – October 23, 2019
    Tuesdays: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
    Wednesdays: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
  • Where: 101 W Edison Ave Ste 110, Appleton, Wisconsin
  • Note: It is recommended that parents stay for this age group

  • When: September 3 – October 23, 2019
    Tuesdays: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
    Wednesdays: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Frequently Asked Questions

Do kids have to have gymnastics or other prior experience?
No prior experience is necessary!

Is there any additional equipment / supplies needed to participate?
Kids may want to bring a water bottle with them to class but no additional supplies are needed to participate. 

What do kids wear to class?
Form fitting t-shirts and leggings are preferred for aerial classes. Loose clothing can become caught in the fabric.

How long are the classes?
Classes are 1 hour long.

What are the class sizes? Instructor to student ratio?
Class sizes for all aerial classes are 6 students to 1 instructor. 

What are the benefits of aerial arts for children?
Aerial arts is a great way to introduce your children to healthy, non-competitive exercise. Aerial teaches participants muscle control, body awareness and helps to tone muscles while also providing cardio exercise. Kids will gain a great deal of body awareness and self confidence as they learn to control intricate movements and tricks and increase their strength and flexibility. 

Is there an outside time requirement for practice?
Instructors may suggest stretching and conditioning exercises outside of class but, there isn’t an additional time requirement..
