GVK Approved: Family Pizza Night (+ Recipes)

Let’s be real, these days, we can take all the help we can get! And while we are being honest — the pandemic has us seeing more pizza nights. In the spirit of continued transparency, the pizza has often been coming from the freezer or arrives with a knock on the door. Anyone else running out of ideas on what to make for dinner?

We were excited to try these Wisconsin-made Crustology pizza crusts because they gave us the option to make everyone happy. The kids made individual classic pepperoni pizzas. Mom and Dad had a spicy jalapeno popper pizza. I also made a breakfast pizza for everyone in the morning! We have tried making our crust from scratch in the past, but we never seem to get it just right. These pizzas were fun to make and turned out great! The crust was nice and crispy, and leftovers were arguable just as good as the night before when warmed up in the oven.

Now that our kids are back in school, talking over pizza prep was the perfect chance to catch up on our days and involve everyone to help prep dinner.

Chris Miller & Anne Cookson, Crustology owners
  • Crusts are 12” round and sold in packs of 3
  • Crusts need to be refrigerated or frozen when they arrive at your house.
  • Refrigerated crusts are best within five days, or you can freeze them for up to 6 months.
  • All products and preparation facilities are peanut & tree nut-free.

Crustology Pizza Crust Options

  • OG – The “original” Crustology crust, a traditional thin cracker crust made extra delicious by being created with a long fermentation process.
  • The Micro Brew – This crust takes the classic cracker crust and adds a Wisconsin brewed dark beer and fermented beer grains to give it a roasted flavor. Cookson says it pairs well with toppings like BBQ Sauce, Aged Cheddar Cheese, and Beef Brisket.

The Herb Infused – Infused with heaps of seasoning, Crookson says this cracker crust is perfect for toppings like Brie, Pear, and Arugula or Classic Pepperoni.
