Create a Fun Amazing Magic Themed Birthday Party

Magic is big these days…everyone loves magic. The excitement that is created for a magic themed birthday party will have the party planner wearing big smiles because of how happy it will make the guests.

In the next few months you will learn how you can put together a fun amazing magic themed birthday party for kids. You will read about magical decorations, edible magic wands, and games with a magical theme. Also, you will learn how to plan out your magic themed birthday party on paper to make your life easier.

This month we will look at decorating a magic themed party.

When the children are walking into your home or the party room you want their mouths to drop open with a big wow. Decorating will help you do just that.

First Things First

First things first you will want to pick just what type of magic theme you want. Do you want to do the classic magician party or more of a wizard type such as a Harry Potter theme? For other children maybe they want a magical character such as someone from Frozen, Mickey Mouse, My Little Pony or Smurfs.

Hanging colorful balloons and streamers is a great start in decorating. Choose colors that will compliment your magic theme. If there are famous characters involved you can find balloons and other decorations with those characters printed on theme. There are also balloon decorators and balloon twisters that can create balloons into a magical theme.

Make Your Own Magic Props

Magic hats and wands are a must for any magic themed birthday party and can be purchased at many different retail stores but it might be just as fun to make your own. With poster board and wooden dowels you can make your own hats and wands or have the kids decorate their own at the magic themed party.

Don’t Forget the Playing Cards

Magicians love to use playing cards and you may want to add them to your decor as well. Take them out of the boxes and spread them around to use as the bottom of your table’s center piece. Also, you can make name plates out of the playing cards by folding a playing card length wise and writing each guests name on one side. The back of the card makes a great backdrop.
