Runaway and Homeless Youth Services at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley in collaboration with the Trout Museum of Art, Appleton Public Library, Appleton Police Department, Downtown Appleton Inc. and Appleton Parks and Rec. are putting on a community awareness event to shine a light on youth homelessness.
6:00pm-Meet in Houdini Plaza
6:15- Awareness March up and down College Avenue with other agencies and community members carrying signs with statistics regarding homeless youth to create awareness.
7:00- Return to Houdini Plaza for an outside advanced screening of the documentary Lost in America, provided in collaboration with the National Safe Place Network.
* Keep an eye out on November 1st for the Trout, Houdini Plaza and Jones Park to be lit up green to shine awareness to youth homelessness
*Bundle up! The documentary screening is outside on purpose- “We can’t remain indoors, when so many of our youth are outside”
