Event Info

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes protective services-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, we are making that happen. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and protective services while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police, fire and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This year we are bringing the event to the heart of our city and having all of our activities on the grounds of the Municipal Building and Police and Fire Department.

This event will bring back Touch a Truck for its 7th year! Ever wanted to see what it’s like to sit up high in a fire truck or what the Mobile Crime Unit looks like from the inside? Have you ever tried to get a truck driver to beep his horn at you on the highway? From plows to front-end loaders, emergency vehicles and more! Come on down and meet the guys that run them and you even get to crawl around on and in them!
