  • Project Play 60 – A Green Bay Packers’ free community event in the Lambeau Atrium that is focused on getting kids out of the house to enjoy physical activity. The event will feature popular inflatables, interactive physical activity games, a climbing wall, face painting, and more.

  • Roald Dahl’s “Matilda the Musical” – Presented by the Oshkosh North High School Music Department, Matilda the Musical is a fun and whimsical story about Matilda as she navigates her way through a terrible school run by a horrible headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. “Matilda the Musical” is based on the Roald Dahl novel,“Matilda,” and centers around a 5-year-old girl with a wild imagination and a love of learning. When Matilda discovers she has supernatural powers, she uses them to help her friends, escape an unloving family, and defy an evil headmistress.

Winter Festivals

Experience the vibrant culture of Wisconsin by attending one of the many winter festivals held throughout the state in February. From the famous Winterfest in Lake Geneva to the quirky Mukwonago Winter Fest, these events feature activities like ice sculpting, snow tubing, live music, and delicious food.

The Sturgeon Spectacular in Fond du Lac is a February 10th – 12th, 2023, and includes a city-wide celebration with live music, curling, snow & ice sculptures, and more!

The Lake Geneva Ice Castles have returned for 2024 at the Geneva National Resort! The stunning ice structure lights up at night and is magical for little kids and adults. 

Titletown Games

Titletown is gearing up for an epic winter sports extravaganza on February 17, 2024. Presented by U.S. Venture, the Titletown Winter Games are your ticket to a day filled with adrenaline-pumping fun, and the best part? It’s totally FREE! From 12 to 7 pm, you can dive into the excitement of luge, curling, and biathlon with cross-country skiing and speedskating.  Rub elbows with incredible athletes like Bonnie Blair from US Speedskating and Gordy Sheer from USA Luge.

Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day with the family can be super sweet and special! It’s a chance for everyone to show love and gratitude in fun ways. Get crafty with homemade cards, whip up some yummy treats in the kitchen, or go all out with a cozy family dinner filled with everyone’s favorites. It’s these simple moments that make memories to treasure forever!

One of our favorite Valentine’s Day traditions is shaped pizzas for dinner! Make your own or check out options at Papa Murphy’s, Papa John’s, Rocky Rococo’s, Pizza King, Marcos, Uncle Mike’s Emporium, Luigi’s Pizza Pasta in Menasha, Jet’s Pizza in Little Chute, and Pagoni’s Pizza in Kaukauna. Make sure to plan and order ahead!

Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness Week is February 11-17, 2024. Whether it’s lending a hand to shovel snow for a neighbor, donating goodies to a local food bank, or just sharing some kind words with someone who needs a pick-me-up, these little acts can really make a big difference. Plus, they’re a great way to teach the kiddos about empathy and being part of a caring community! 

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has so many great ideas and tips.

One of our favorite simple ideas? Fill up a free little library or free little pantry in your neighborhood or along your daily route to school or work!

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is a must-do adventure before your kids grow up! We are lucky enough to have the show stop at the Resch Center in Green Bay every February. The show changes every year and features favorite characters from Mickey and Minnie to Elsa and Anna; the whole gang is there to dazzle us with their moves and songs. And the best part? Seeing the joy on the kids’ faces as they sing along and dance in their seats—it’s pure magic!

Go Skiing or Snowboarding

A perfect winter wonderland for skiing and snowboarding is created by the constant accumulation of snow in Wisconsin throughout the cold weather season! Whether you are a professional on the slopes or your whole family is brand new to the sport, there are plenty of great spots to check out right here in Wisconsin! 

  • Granite Peak in Wausau is the state’s largest resort for downhill skiing. They have 58 different runs and state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment to ensure your family has a great experience. 
  • Cascade Mountain in Portage is the second-largest ski resort, with 47 runs and 11 ski lifts. They are known for their wide assortment of terrain parks. 
  • The Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva is one of Wisconsin’s favorite places for a winter getaway. The resort offers everything from ice skating and sledding to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more.
  • Tyrol Basin in Mt Horeb is the perfect place for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing for the entire family. They offer family ski and snowboarding lessons and have tubing hills open in late December.
