7 Holiday Parades + The Largest Nighttime Christmas Parade in the Midwest!

Ready to start celebrating the holiday season? Check out the list below for upcoming holiday parades. As always, we highly recommend checking their individual websites or Facebook events for last-minute updates before heading out.

November 19, 2022: Green Bay Parade

Saturday, November 19, 2022: 10 am
The 37th Annual Prevea Green Bay Holiday Parade will take place Saturday, November 19th, 2022 on the streets of downtown Green Bay. The parade’s theme is “A Taste of the Holidays” and runs along Jefferson, Cherry and Washington Streets. Families will enjoy high-flying balloons, local marching bands, dancers, singers, and of course, Santa and his reindeer! Free parking will be available in the Pine, Cherry, and Main Street ramps and all nearby city streets. The parade will be broadcast live on NBC26, if you’d rather enjoy the spectacle from home.

November 22, 2022: Appleton Parade

The 51st Annual Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade will takes place Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 7 pm at the corner of State St. and College Ave. The parade heads east on College Ave. to Drew St. As the largest nighttime Christmas parade in the Midwest, the event boasts around 80 entries including bands, organizations, and Santa. This year’s theme is “Peace On Earth.”

This year’s parade will be televised live by WFRV-TV. Typically the broadcast lasts about 90 minutes in length, but could possibly run long, so we recommend viewers set their DVR for two hours.

November 28, 2022: Little Chute Parade

The Little Chute Christmas Parade, hosted by Kiwanis Club of Little Chute, is Monday, November 28, 2022.

December 1, 2022: Oshkosh Parade

The Oshkosh Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting takes place on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The Tree Lighting Tree Ceremony begins at 6 pm at Opera Square House. Live music will be playing from 5 pm – 6 pm. The Holiday Parade begins at 6:15 pm in Downtown Oshkosh. The 2022 Theme is “Welcome to the North Pole.” Parade runs from Main Street and Ceape Avenue to Main St. and Irving Avenue. See their Facebook event for complete details.

December 3, 2022: Fond du Lac Parade

The KFIZ Downtown Fond du Lac Holiday Parade of Lights is back again this season on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 4:15 pm! This year’s parade theme is ‘Holidazzle, Lights, Tinsel, Make it Shine’. The parade begins at North Main Street and heads south toward Veteran’s Park for the traditional Santa’s holiday greeting and lighting of his own Christmas tree!

December 3, 2022: Chilton Parade

Chilton kicks off the holiday season on the first weekend of December with their Holiday Parade! Chilton will become a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 3. The Holiday Parade of Lights starts at 5:30 pm. The whole weekend will also be buzzing with holiday open houses and shopping, craft shows, cookie decorating, drive-through holiday light displays, a cookie walk and more.

December 3, 2022: New London Parade

Shop stores throughout New London that are participating in Winter Wonderland on the Wolf through the Holiday Hop by offering a promotion or fun family activity throughout the week (December 2nd – 9th). The parade begins on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 5 pm at South Pearl Street and ends about 30 minutes later in the Wolf River Plaza parking lot. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and receive a goodie bag at Longevity Nutrition from 6 – 8 pm! You can also tour the Winter Wonderland Christmas Display here from 10 am – 8 pm. You’ll enjoy listening to carolers and sipping hot cocoa while you’re there. There is also a Reindeer Boogie from 6 – 8 pm at Familiar Grounds Coffee Shop!

December 6, 2022: Kaukauna Parade

Get in the Christmas spirit with holiday-themed floats entered by local community organizations and businesses. The Kaukauna Christmas parade takes place on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The parade starts at Depot St. and Wisconsin Ave. and moves down the bridge into downtown Kaukauna. Join Santa in the Community Room at the new Streets, Parks and Recreation building (207 Reaume Avenue) after the parade for cookies and hot chocolate.
