Where to Donate Halloween Candy? – 2023 Candy Buyback Locations in the Fox Cities

Did trick or treating leave your kids with more candy than they could possibly consume? Did you get fewer trick-or-treaters than expected and end up with a bowl of sweet treats?

Some local dentists and organizations are participating in the candy buy-back program.

Kids can donate their candy at dentists’ offices and other locations. Candy and personal care items (along with other goodies) will be sent to troops overseas and first responders serving our country.

This is a great opportunity to talk about the ways that others serve us and the small ways that we can help them. It is easy to relate to the simple joy that can be found in a Reese’s cup or a box of Nerds. There’s probably even someone that will delight in that mini package of candy corn!

Some Guidelines For Candy Donations:

  • DON’T purchase the clearance Halloween candy after the holiday to send. If you don’t have candy, consider a cash donation to contribute to shipping the packages. Each drop-off location has different guidelines. Reach out and ask if they have another need.
  • DO send only individual treat/snack/bite-sized candy in factory-sealed original packaging.
  • DO include a variety of candies!
  • Please DON’T include powdery candies like Pixy Stix; they tend to make a mess in packages.
